Minami-Aoyama - the land of luxury brand shops.
Customers at Intersect by Lexus - Tokyo can experience a variety of different lifestyles as presented through the Lexus brand concept. Get a feel for the unique Lexus style of manufacture, design and art, and get a close-up look of rare concept cars, too.
This concept covers cuisine as well with a cafe on the first floor and a bistro on the second.
In collaboration with Norwegian coffee bar Fuglen, the first floor has a coffee stand offering the best coffee in town.
The impressive second floor bistro was created with an open-concept design complete with sofas, and set up to look like the office of the building's fictional owner, Mr. Lexus. It has the same comfortable feel as a friend's house, and it's easy to relax and enjoy a meal here.
Daichi Tajima created the menu with the idea of providing "comfort food that people will want to eat every day" - and it never fails to satisfy.
More and more, people are thinking for themselves and making their own decisions about what they do and don't like, and Lexus has much to offer.
You can get a feel for the concept behind Intersect even through the menu. Customize your own salad or mashed potatoes. Try the unique sukiyaki made with fond de veau stock and dressed with a foam made from egg, onion and potato flavoured with mustard.
Whether for lunch or for dinner, alone or in a group, there's something on the menu for everyone.
Masamichi Katayama of interior design company Wonderwall Inc. was responsible for the space, and his goal was for people to use it as their "third place" space, somewhere that sits right between home and work.
This quiet spot only a few short steps from the hustle and bustle of Omotesando is sure to be the favourite of many.
